Global Professional Services Firm Wave International Joins REIA, the Global Rare Earth Industry Association

Wave International is a professional services firm, who has specialist expertise in technology metals which are required to support the global energy transition. Headquartered in Australia with a global footprint across Europe/the UK, Canada, Mongolia and Africa, Wave has been operating for over 23 years. In addition to the full suite of traditional engineering, asset management and project delivery services, Wave also offers specialist advisory services to support clients in the early strategy formation stage.
Wave has been a long-time supporter of the Rare Earths industry, providing support to several significant primary projects including Arafura Resources’ Nolan’s Rare Earths Project. As the demand for key green technologies grows, so will the requirement for sustainable supply chains, and Wave’s purpose is to support those developments.
Ryan Hanrahan, Director and CEO of Wave International commented: “The rare earths industry is critical to the energy transition. Equally critical are sustainable and geographically diverse supply chains. Combining our footprint in Europe with our extensive experience from Australian projects, we aim to support an accelerated development of new supply routes. We are excited to be accepted as a member of REIA, as they provide a great platform for industry collaboration and have a world class established membership base. We are very much looking forward to building on our already strong working relationships”.
Dr Badrinath Veluri, President of REIA, said: “Wave International is a truly global organization which provides specialist advisory services to companies operating in the sector of metals – including Rare Earths, that essential to the green transition. We are very pleased to welcome Ryan Hanrahan and his international team.”
About REIA REIA, a non-profit organization, is the only global association advocating the rare earth element (REE) Industry. Founded in 2019 and developing rapidly, REIA now counts around 50 members from around the world, representing key industry stakeholders throughout the whole rare earth value chain as well as policy makers, research institutes and academics. Our core mission is to promote and support a sustainable, responsible, collaborative and transparent REE value chain and the use of rare earths in appropriate applications. To that effect, we are currently developing a framework and guidelines to help standardize ESG reporting accepted by all stakeholders, both upstream and downstream. We provide our members with a platform where they can network and benchmark; make their voice heard by policy makers, regulators and key stakeholders; find potential partners; access and share data, information and best practices; get visibility and highlight their engagement towards a more sustainable supply chain.
