ALLIED METALS CORPORATION Joins the Global Rare Earth Industry Association

REIA is pleased to report that the leading high-purity metals provider Allied Metals Corporation has become a member of the global association that is committed to creating a safe and innovative rare-earth industry.
Allied Metals is a family-owned business focused on serving the aerospace, automotive, energy, magnetic and chemical sectors, with a wide range of high-purity iron products.
With more than 70 years of activity and worldwide presence, Allied Metals is renowned for product quality, certification reliability, material traceability and customer service.
Martina Petrova, Director of Operations at Allied Metals, commented, “Our philosophy at Allied Metals is to be continuously engaged in the development of new markets, technologies, and specialty materials. Currently, our high-purity iron is used in combination with rare-earth elements for the elaboration of permanent magnets in vacuum induction-melting processes. Thus, our ambition as a REIA member is to build knowledge on rare-earth material developments, as well as to contribute to good strategic networking.”
Dr. Badrinath Veluri, President of REIA, commented, “We are very pleased to welcome Allied Metals as the newest member of our organisation. The company is a key player in the important high-purity, specialty materials sector. We look forward to working with them and to building a strong partnership”.
The company is an innovative, future-focused industry leader, acting as a global source of a broad range of ultra-high-purity iron, high-purity iron, and low-carbon iron products. American-based, with a strong presence in Europe and Asia, Allied Metals has served among others, the aerospace, automotive, magnetic, and energy sectors for almost 70 years. Their products are present in the composition of a wide variety of alloys that must meet rigorous performance requirements, for use in advanced engineering systems. These systems operate in conditions of extreme temperature and corrosive atmospheres, most notably in aerospace manufacturing, and the entire spectrum of oil and gas exploration, refining, distribution, transportation, and energy storage. Furthermore, Allied Metals materials are used in various environmental, water-treatment, and chemical-manufacturing applications. Allied Metals’ trademarked ALLIEDPUREIRON® material is machined into parts for use in electromagnetic devices and permanent-magnet assemblies, in the aerospace, space, medical, and research industries. Allied Metals’ operations, technology, and market resources are tightly integrated, with a significant presence, in every market around the world.

About the Rare Earth Industry Association

We are a global, Belgium-based not-for-profit organization founded in 2019. REIA’s mission is to serve, promote and advance the sustainable development of the global rare-earth-element value chain. The Association’s 75 members are drawn from across the entire REE value chain, including public and private companies, research and academic institutions, government entities, policy makers and other stakeholders. REIA is currently developing a framework and guidelines to help standardize ESG reporting accepted by upstream, midstream, and downstream participants. The Association provides its members with a platform for networking and benchmarking; for making their voice heard by policy makers, regulators and other key stakeholders; for finding potential partners and collaborators; for accessing and sharing data, information and best practices; and gaining visibility and highlighting their engagement towards a more sustainable supply chain.
