TRADIUM Joins the Global Rare Earth Industry Association
The German supplier of raw materials is a new member of the global industry association that’s committed to creating a safe and innovative rare-earth industry.
TRADIUM, located in Germany, specializes in supplying industry with strategic raw materials such as rare earths, technology metals, and precious metals. For more than 20 years, it has been supplying metals to companies in a wide range of industries including the glass industry, the ceramics industry, the automotive industry, as well as the electronics and lighting industries. Thus, TRADIUM has excellent knowledge of the market.
“It is an important step for us to become a member of the renowned REIA,” says Matthias Rüth, CEO of TRADIUM. “It is currently a major challenge to provide the industry with a secure supply of strategic raw materials such as rare earths, which are crucial for the manufacture of renewable and low-CO2 technologies. Through our membership, we hope to contribute to better networking and information-sharing among all supply-chain stakeholders. We also want to contribute to a deeper understanding of the rare earths value chain.”
Dr Badrinath Veluri, President of REIA quotes that “addition of Tradium as a REIA member who has vast knowledge of the market and its dynamics within specialty metals for decades brings new energy and valuable source information for both upstream and downstream members of REIA as well as our external stakeholders”.
Different companies – raw material producers, refiners, processing companies, and recycling companies – interact in the rare earth industry. REIA connects all participating companies in a strong network and also provides them with access to new knowledge from research and development. This is the key to stability and innovation across the supply chain.
