Matériaux Critiques : enjeux stratégiques pour l’Automobile et la Défense
DATE : March 12, 2026
LOCATION : CCFA Paris, France
Critical materials - rare earths, strategic metals and advanced alloys - are now at the heart of major industrial, economic and geopolitical issues.
These essential materials are in every electric motor, defence system or advanced technology, while their supply chain is rarely fully sovereign and remains largely dependent on foreign players who control the extraction and processing of certain strategic resources. Faced with this structural dependence, Europe must now accelerate its implementation to ensure its competitiveness and sovereignty: opening new mines, reviving refining capacity, diversifying sources of supply, developing the recycling of end-of-life components, and massive investment in innovation.
This event aims to bring together experts from the automotive, defence, chemical and recycling sectors to analyse the state of the market, discuss substitution and innovation strategies, and identify levers to build a more resilient and sustainable European value chain.
